A funny thing happened to me the other day.
In this day and age, things happen so fast that if you blink, you’d miss them.
Take technology for example. It seems that it wasn’t too long ago when beepers were the rage. If you didn’t have one on your hip, you were either square or just plain out of the loop! At times you’d even see people wearing beepers that were not even activated. But, they had to be seen wearing one, for fear of being outed as not in step with the times.
Then it was the cell phone. Ahhh the cell phone! First, only a few people could afford to have one because they were a little on the expensive side.
Does anyone remember how big and bulky some of the early cell phones were?
Looking back now, you wonder how people carried those things around, or how we survived without them. It is estimated that there are over 200 million cell phones in use in the United States alone!
Now, with the new generation of cell phones, you can do almost anything with them. They are mini computers that do all kinds neat tasks and tricks. With cell phones now you can talk(ohh do we talk!), text, fax, facebook, myspace and twitter. It is estimated that the average teenager in the US sends over 2000 texts/month!
Ahhh, twitter! This medium has become quite the rage of the day. If you are not on twitter, you are living under a rock(no insult or offense to the rock people, of course).
Which brings me to the story about why I am writing this. My good friend(who shall remain nameless for now to avoid any rock-people-embarassment). He is a great guy. But when it comes to technology, John is a little behind on things. So, the other day I called my friend John and asked him a question. I wanted to share some information with him. So, I asked him, ” John, do you have twitter? Are you on twitter? Do you have a twitter account? John responded :” I don’t have any birds”
I almost died laughing when I heard this. I know you are not supposed to laugh at your friends’ expense, but this was a little much.
So, john asked me, “what is this twit, twat stuff you are talking about?”
I told John that twitter is a way for friends and people you know communicate and stay in touch with each other, by sharing information.
John’s reaction is quite similar to the way about 97% of entrepreneurs react to internet marketing or how to market online.
Most entrepreneurs are quite in the dark as to the right way to market their products/services online, either through relationship marketing or law of attraction concept…or loaconcept for short.
Finding the right way to get buyers online for your products/services is quite simple. All you really need to do is find and surround yourself with people who are already using a solid marketing and educational platform. Once you get this done, your internet and online marketing would literally be on autopilot!
